About Me
I am running for Re-election. I am a change agent. I grew up in the greater Charlotte area. I have been a part of the Mint Hill Community for 23 years.
I am a wife to a senior pastor. A mother of a special needs young adult son. A licensed attorney. A licensed minister. A personal life coach. A certified personal trainer. An author. A breast cancer survivor. And a born leader.
My husband and I started New Beginnings Church on Stillwell Road, 25 years ago. I serve as the Executive Minister, overseeing leaders and ministry projects. Over the years, we have had the opportunity to support the Mint Hill community with our annual free gas card giveaway. Most recently, we have served the community through our ContagiousLove outreach efforts where we provide gift baskets, food and encouragement to essential and front line workers.
I also serve as the Executive Director of the New Beginnings Community Life Center (CLC). The CLC provides affordable counseling, support groups and encouragement to residents of Mecklenburg County.
As a volunteer, I have had the opportunity to serve as the President of the PTSA at Lebanon Road Elementary School, on the board of the Mecklenburg County Bar, and as a member of the Mint Hill Public Advisory Committee. I am also a graduate of a Charlotte volunteer leadership development program.
My skill-sets include: Problem solving, Critical thinking, Goal setting and Bridge-building.
I consider it an honor to be able to serve the Mint Hill community.
Not all civil servants admire strong political leadership. But if you want to change things for the better you need strong political leadership.
